About me. Wild garlic woods

Clients are seen in my home surrounded by National Trust woods offering a restorative and peaceful environment. I bring my interest in the creative arts, poetry, story and art, into my counselling work, finding that myths and images offer clients a new way to see their unique life’s journey.

My initial training in counselling was in the 1980s while working with unemployed teenagers. Following a career in the NHS, I completed a Counselling Diploma at Re.Vision Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis followed by their Diploma in Psychotherapy. I have pursued my interest in Jung including Jungian art therapy and also the approaches to the body and soul developed by Marion Woodman and Marian Dunlea.

In addition to my private practice I run personal development workshops in China and New Zealand on questions in midlife, relationships, and life story/biography. I have recently trained as a Mindful Photography facilitator with 'Look Again'.

I am a registered psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) in addition to being a full member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to the ethical frameworks of UKCP and Re-Vision, have regular supervision for my work and undertake ongoing professional development.
